Jeff Buckley @ Chicago House, Austin, TX February 5th, 1994——-Jeff & I met the night before at the Cactus Cafe (February 4th)…He was opening for Alejandro Escovedo, and NOBODYin Austin knew anything about him….NO “Live at Sin-é” (Solo CD) had come out yet….—-Jeff walked up to me and held the lapel of my jacket and said“cool jacket.”“your’s too.” i said..“I’m Jeff……”..we became buddies….he even came to eat with a bunch of us at the Magnolia South…. ..and we would continue to see each other when he came to town to do another Chicago House gigwith his band on the 3rd of August, of the same year….—-I never went to the Liberty Lunch show in 1995 in February thru May 1997, he was working on his next record (My Sweetheart the Drunk) and playing solo in a club in Memphis……he drowned in Late May…..
